Our story

The origins of Ridgeway can be traced back to 1987 when the West of England Building Society opened an agency chain by buying renowned Swindon agent, John Legge Associates. Over the course of ten years the company continued to travel forward and in 1998 Ridgeway was born! Ridgeway has an expanding team nestled in the heart of the Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire borderlands, comprised of offices in Swindon, Fairford and Lechlade Ridgeway is fully integrated into the local community.

With a continued desire to evolve and expand, Ridgeway persisted with their personal journey all the while maintaining a strong and broad client base and to this day continue to travel hand in hand with their clients towards the shared goal of property satisfaction.

Community Spirit

As an established independent estate agent we feel more connected to our local community than larger firms. That’s partly because many of us live in or near the communities we serve. In that way our team are all in tune with the local area and by extension the community itself. When we launched our Ridgeway Car we intended it to be a beacon for the local community, available to local groups and charities to help fundraising initiatives. Further sponsorship of local sports teams continued our investment in our local community and strengthened our bond to the area.
